The pedagogical focus of the Maternal School is based upon the constructivist learning paradigm where development is considered beyond the biological-evolutionary focus and broadens to a socio-cultural perspective (Vygotsky).

The Maternal School then assumes within its pedagogical projection three turning-points: sharing knowledge, building knowledge and evidencing knowledge, which are based on meaningful learning and recognition of the actual, near and potential development.
